Since 2011 the Tasmanian Climate Change Office has worked closely with local government to deliver two significant climate change adaptation projects. Developed through these projects are a suite of training modules and resources to assist councils to undertake or revisit their corporate and/or coastal adaptation planning.
Corporate adaptation plans for all 29 of Tasmania's councils were developed through the Regional Councils Climate Adaptation Project (RCCAP). The plans identify and assess climate change risks to council assets, infrastructure and services, and develop adaptation options.
The TCAP project is a collaborative initiative between local government and the Tasmanian Climate Change Office to build our understanding of the impacts of coastal hazards on our communities, and how we might best adapt.
These modules are based on the methodology of both the RCCAP and TCAP projects, and will step the project manager through the relevant work to be undertaken. To view the modules and resources please follow the links below for either Corporate Adaptation or Community-Based Coastal Adaptation.
