There is a large amount of detailed data and information available to help Tasmania respond to a changing climate and reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. Find out more:

  • The Tasmanian Wedges Project (2010) modelled Tasmania's greenhouse gas emissions to 2050 under a business-as-usual scenario. It identified potential emission reduction options for each sector of the economy and evaluated the abatement (emission reduction) potential and cost of each option.
  • A Clean Energy Tipping Point? (PDF) (2014) explores global trends in electricity markets and the implications for Tasmania. A panel discussion with report authors Giles Parkinson and Paul Gilding is available on the UTAS Events website.
  • The Forest Carbon Study (2012) modelled the emissions and sequestration (carbon storage) value of the State's current forest estate, including not only its managed forests, but also its conserved forest areas.
