Money may not make you happy, but putting yourself in charge of your money can give you more choice about how you live your life. So it’s worth taking the time to think about how you handle your money and what you can do to make the most of it.

You could ask yourself what’s your relationship with money like?

A lot of women have an uneasy relationship with money. We might be totally organised and successful in other areas of our lives, but when it comes to sorting out our finances, we bury our heads in the sand. The good news is, a few simple things done regularly can make a real difference.

The Financial Literacy Foundation was established by the Australian Government in June 2005 to give all Australians the opportunity to increase their financial knowledge and better manage their money.

Financial literacy - women understanding money is the Financial Literacy Foundation's report on what women think about money. It talks about women's attitudes and behavior on a range of money topics from budgeting and saving to getting ready for retirement.

Women understanding money information sheets have something for all women. They have personal stories that a lot of women will relate to, as well as tips and jargon busters to help you understand what it all means.
