Odette Arrieta-Shadbolt Our Brief History In Light of Eternity
The daily struggle to find purpose in my every day routine has relaxed since attempting to think from a wider perspective. Contemplating the brevity of our life as opposed to the vast age of our world. One life can come and go before a tree has reached maturity. Finding contentment in the middle of our concerns is perhaps the greatest problem that faces us today, as it influences all our decisions. We have enough things so next on the list is a more abstract need; purpose, and then finding a means to validate that.
‘Our Brief History In Light of Eternity’ helps to remind me of what eternally matters, when facing self doubt, difficulty and troubles. The solid joy I feel when I remember God, who is present through the ages, who cares about the details that we care about.
This is the main issue for me, a Tasmanian woman, to be able to be myself remaining true amidst it all.
