Internal Conflict
My painting “Internal Conflict” symbolically represents the woman and her child in an organic womb-like environment. The shapes may suggest many forms to the viewer.
Many women wish to have children; many women seek self-development and a career. A mother may perhaps be forced to take on employment for financial reasons. To nurture a family, to be there, to make a house a home and yet at the same time be a reliable employee (or employer) becomes a dichotomy, a balancing act. Compromises, stress, pressure – much “Internal Conflict”.
