The Millennium Case – Guide for the Contemporary Woman
The Millennium Case – Guide for the Contemporary Woman is primarily an interactive conceptual work. The idea for the title is influenced by Douglas Adams’s science fiction comedy The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. The idea for the work was inspired by the observation of the large number of societal demands and expectations of women in contemporary society and our never ending propensity to categorize.
Like the Hitchhiker’s Guide theMillennium Case contains hints, tips, and a guide to women living in our contemporary society. These categorized snippets of advice are collected from many sources including women’s magazines or hear-say then reworded and indexed and while a little serious also contain humor. The interactive component is that viewers are invited to add their tips on the cards provided and file them alphabetically under their chosen keyword title.
