Heart Out to Sea

Something that I have always been amazed about is the fact that Tasmania, the shape of the island is a heart.

I explored this visual within the context of how that reflects the contemporary Tasmanian woman.

There’s something about this beautiful rugged landscape that brings out the spirit of women. In my time here I have met so many women who for whatever reason are driven to live through their hearts, see thru their hearts, be authentic and express their true selves. They are driven to live love with people, nature and life.

have portrayed the island here “as a heart out to sea” as a reflection and celebration of the courage and love these women display. In honouring the true spirit of our hearts we are healing not only this island but the whole world. Perhaps our heart shaped island is the heart of the world.
