Strong, independent women are often portrayed as man-eaters even in this post-feminist era of supposed gender equality.

Successful women in politics and business are described as having balls, or being ball breakers.

Women who know what they want and go out and get it are seen as sexual aggressors and to be feared by men.

Artists, particularly women artists whose work depicts the nude are often seen as sexual deviants.

This is my light hearted comment in retaliation for all the knowing looks I have received when I say I draw nudes.

Is it a self portrait? That’s for me to know and no one else to find out.
