Women Tasmania: Significant Women on the Web Project

Women Tasmania is working on a project to gather information about women who have made a significant contribution to the Tasmanian community. Featured will be women from all walks of life -  the arts, science, education, environment, health, industry, sport, community work, fashion and civil life and politics, and of course our early suffragists. It will be inclusive of all women including aboriginal women, migrant women and young women.

This area of the website is an ongoing project, and at this point in time contains only a small sample of the many Tasmanian women acknowledged for their significant contributions to our community. These web pages will be expanded over time to provide a comprehensive resource.
