Leadership

The Tasmanian Government is committed to increasing the number of women in leadership and decision making positions.

Initiatives include:

Tasmanian Honour Roll

Leadership of Tasmanian women is recognised in Tasmania by the Tasmanian Honour Roll.

The Honour Roll recognises inspiring Tasmanian women from all walks of life and backgrounds who have made an impact at local, state, national or international level. The inductees’ life stories and achievements, presented in their individual biographies, serve as excellent examples for all Tasmanians.

Significant Tasmanian Women

This website also contains information about women who have made a significant contribution to the Tasmanian community. See Significant Tasmanian Women.

Women in Leadership Report

This report was produced for the Commonwealth, State, Territories and New Zealand Ministers’ Conference on the Status of Women (MINCO) in 2004. It provides an overview of women’s leadership initiatives, and statistics on the status of women in leadership positions at that time in Australia, broken down by State and Territory.
