About Women Tasmania

Women have an important role to play in shaping social policy. Women Tasmania works to ensure women can be engaged in all aspects of society, and to ensure that Government policies, programs and projects are responsive to the needs of women and representative of their views.

Women Tasmania has resource centres in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie.

Women Tasmania has a policy focus on family and community safety, leadership and participation, and women in work and education. It works in partnership with the community sector, Government agencies and business to achieve practical improvements in the lives of Tasmanian women.
