Using the Seniors Card

How do I recognise business providers supporting the Seniors Card?

Participating businesses are encouraged to display the Seniors Card symbol (shown at the top of this page) prominently on their premises. Business providers choose to belong to the Program and are not reimbursed by Government.

Refer to the Seniors Card Directory of Savings PDF icon(PDF, 2.4 Mb) for a list of businesses involved in the Program, and the discount offers available. Remember to read the offer carefully.

When making a purchase at one of the businesses participating in the Seniors Card Program, you will need to show your Seniors Card prior to the commencement of the sales to receive the discount or concession offered. Businesses do not have to honour discounts after the transaction has occurred.

When making a booking or appointment quote your Seniors Card number at that time. If this is not done the business is not obliged to give you a discount.

Always confirm your discount with the business before making your purchase.

Find out what the recommended retail price is before asking for a Seniors Card discount. In most situations 'specials' and 'sale' prices are excluded from further discount.

You may also be able to use your Seniors Card in other states or territories at businesses displaying the Seniors Card symbol.
