2008 - 2009 Children and Youth Advisory Services Funding Program - now open

The $100,000 Children and Youth Advisory Services (CAYAS) Funding Program provides grants of up to $5,000 for projects to provide information and opportunities for children (6-12 years) and young people (12-25 years). The CAYAS program has a strong focus on projects that promote social inclusion.

Non-government community organisations and councils are eligible to apply for CAYAS funding.

Tasmanian Early Years Foundation Grants - now open

The Tasmanian Early Years Foundation 2008-09 Funding Program is now open.

Not-for-profit organisations and service providers from all tiers of government are eligible to apply. Grants of up to $10,000 (GST exclusive) for one year and grants from $10,000 (GST exclusive) for one to three years are available. Guidelines and application forms are available at www.earlyyears.org.au

Applications close 5pm 5 September 2008.


Local Government Seed Funding Program

The State Government's Local Government Seed Funding Grants Program makes available a total of $76,000 annually to Councils to fund initiatives that encourage young Tasmanians to become involved in their local community.

2007-08 Local Government Seed Funding is now closed.

The Local Government Seed Funding Program 2008-09 is expected to open in early August 2008.


National Youth Week 2009 (28 March - 5 April 2009)

National Youth Week is the largest single celebration of young people on the Australian calendar, with thousands of people aged 12-25 getting involved in events and activities throughout the country.

You can participate in National Youth Week each year by organising or taking part in an event or activity.

Grants for 2009 National Youth Week will open on 1 October 2008.

Youth Sector Funding Guide

A Youth Sector Funding Guide has been compiled by the Youth Network of Tasmania (YNOT) and provides information for organisations and individuals in the youth sector to assist them in accessing sources of funding for their services or projects.
