Secretariat support is provided to the Tasmanian Advisory Council on Multicultural Affairs (TACMA). Multicultural Tasmania also works with the State-funded peak body, the Multicultural Council of Tasmania, to promote the objectives of the Multicultural Policy. As at 21 May 2008, the role of the Regional Certifying Body (RCB) for the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) and the Temporary Business Subclass (Long Stay) 457 Visa was transferred from Multicultural Tasmania to the Department of Economic Development and Tourism.
