The Women in Tasmania series provides a statistical snapshot of the current status of women in a range of areas such as demographics; economic and financial security; education and training; health and wellbeing; housing and homelessness; leadership; and safety and justice.

The series assists us to understand the position of women in society, the challenges and inequalities Tasmanian women face and the progress achieved towards full equality.

The data comes from a wide range of sources and can be used by government, non-government and private sectors to inform policy development and service delivery.
