The Tasmanian Government is committed to listening and responding to the needs of Tasmania’s veteran and ex-serving community. DPAC’s Community Development Division provides advice and support to the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs. It works to ensure that ex-serving men and women and their families are able to put their views and concerns forward to government.

The Government hosts the annual State Government Reception for Tasmanian defence personnel who have served overseas. It also funds the Lt Col Harry Murray VC Scholarships at the University of Tasmania.
